Obituary of Joan Muriel Parise

Joan Muriel Parise, age 77, a 31 year resident of Las Vegas, died Wednesday, December 7, 2011. Joan was born January 6, 1934 in New York, NY to the late Jack and the late Sally (Graf) Lazarowitz. Joan was a very smart, innovative and creative woman. She was a gifted craftswoman; making yearly scrapbooks to chronicle the lives of her family and helping her children with their craft projects at school It was rumored that Joan could turn a toothpick into a lumber mill. She also enjoyed mah jong and macram. After moving to Las Vegas, Joan worked as a customer relations representative for Centel, later to become Sprint. She received numerous awards for achieving high sales at the company. Joan is survived by her children Lanie (Jim) Cox of Las Vegas; Jeff (Dyana) Parise of Chandler AZ, Linda (Jim) Cambell of Virginia Beach VA and Michael (Ellen Burt) Parise of Nampa ID; grandchildren Kelly, Brittany, Kyle, Blake, Anthony, Paul, Dillan, Ryan, David, Alex, Tony and Shane; brother Bob Lazarowitz of Colonia NJ, and close friend Barbara Molinary of Las Vegas. She is predeceased by her husband of 20 years, Paul Parise. The funeral service will be held at 8:00 am on Monday, December 12, 2011 at Kraft-Sussman Funeral Services, 3975 S. Durango Drive, Suite 104, Las Vegas, NV, 89147. Burial will immediately follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1500 Las Vegas Blvd N, Las Vegas, NV, 89101.
