Obituary of Grover Wayne Barger

Grover Wayne Barger, age 66, of Las Vegas, died Sunday, November 27, 2011. Wayne was born July 11, 1945 in Breckenridge KY to the late Reginald and the late Nettie (Durbin) Barger. Wayne served in the Army and then worked as an installer and repairman for Mountain Bell/US West/Quest phone company. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Wayne retired at the age of 55 and moved to Las Vegas soon after. In his retirement he enjoyed gold digging, old cars and making jewelry for his family and friends. Some of the jewelry included his digging discoveries. Wayne is survived by his wife of 42 years, Wilma Ruth (Stein) Barger; daughters Sheila Ann Barger and Shelly Lee Barger; granddaughter Darian Lea Barger; grandson Cameron Rayne Barger; his dog, Maddie, all of Las Vegas; and siblings Glenn (Thu) Barger of Golden CO and Pat Wells of Waynesville NC. A memorial service will be at 1PM on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Canyon Ridge Christian Church, 6200 West Lone Mountain Road, Las Vegas, 89130.
