Obituary of Edmond "Ed" Edward Dorit

Edmond "Ed" Dorit, age 90, a 15 year resident of Las Vegas, died Sunday, July 17, 2011. Ed was born September 10, 1920 in Warsaw, Poland to the late Israel and the late Stephanie (Elblinger) Dorotynski. He lived in Israel, when it was called Palestine and moved to the New York City in 1939. Ed lived most of his life in Coral Gables FL. Ed served in the Army during World War 11, was a stockbroker and an avid tennis player, often playing seven days a week in the Florida heat and humidity. Ed is survived by his wife of 63 years, Elaine Dorit of Las Vegas; children Niley (Cyndi) of San Francisco and Lynn Dorit of Lakewood CO; and brother Murray (Irene) Dorit of Sausilito CA . A service will be held at 10:45 AM on Wednesday, July 20 at Vista memorial Gardens in Miami Lakes FL. Contributions in Ed's memory may be made to the IDF, Israel Defense Force.
