Obituary of Marlene Anne Girbach

Marlene Anne Girbach, beloved life partner and business partner, passed away June 20, 2011 at her home in Las Vegas. Her survivors are her life partner Ron Balentine, her Step-daughter Chelsea (Eric) and two step-grandchildren Percy and Paiden, her mother Jeanne, brothers Gene and Gary (Pam), sister Mary Alice Smith (William) and nephews and nieces: Nathan, Alex, Kelsey, Sara and Melissa, all of Saline, Michigan. Marlene was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan on April 5, 1952 to Ernest and Jeanne Girbach. She graduated from Saline High School, class of 1970 and went on to Michigan State University where she graduated with honor with a B.S. in Education in 1974. She worked at T&M Chevrolet for a year before coming to Las Vegas. There she worked for DeSure Corporation as a bookkeeper, before she found her ultimate job, working in a CPA firm. Her amazing story started as a farm girl from Michigan who became a bookkeeper, writing up books by hand, while taking accounting classes, graduating from UNLV in 1982 and getting audit experience before getting certified on October 17, 1985. She continued to work in the same CPA firm, although it changed names and is now known as Wilson & Company, CPA's. She became a partner in 1995. She is a member of the Nevada Society of CPA's as well as the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She is listed in the Who's Who Registry of Business Leaders. Marlene will be remembered in the hearts of everyone she came in touch with for the amazing person she was. She was a "CHER" look-a-like without the same clothing budget. She was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan and enjoyed cheering them on with her pet pugs, Tico and ChiChi. She enjoyed the open spaces riding with Ron on their Harley. Although, there will be no viewing, funeral services will be at 2PM, Friday, June 24, at Kraft-Sussman Funeral Services, 3975 S. Durango Drive, Suite 104. Interment will be on July 7, 2011 at Oakwork Cemetery, Saline Michigan. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Kenneth Copeland Ministries or a charity of their choice. Every Thing is Going to be All-Right in the Household of Faith!
