Obituary of Amelia Martin Bautista

Remembering Amy

Amelia "Amy" Bautista peacefully joined our Maker last June 15, 2020 at St. Rose Dignity Health Hospital San Martin Campus, Las Vegas, NV.

Departing at the age of 54, Amy is survived by her loving co-parent, Charlie, two children, Carmie and Charles, a devoted mother, Carmen, three grandchildren, Skyla, Kaia and Robert III, and several siblings who love and care for her so much.

Like many of her generation, she was high spirited and adventurous. She was able to travel across Europe, USA, and Asia, eager to discover food, culture and history. Her stories and laughter can fill a room and would always be called the life of the party. She was and is loved by many friends from her childhood, studies, and even throughout her career.

She thrived as a nurse, part-time model, entrepreneur and caregiver, but her greatest role yet is being the amazing mother and grandmother that she was. She was so great at parenting that even the peers of her children came to her in time of need and in time of sorrow. She was the warm nurturing hand that groomed many children to be upstanding men and women. Truly, her loving personality and incomparable wisdom will be tremendously missed.

Indeed, she lived with passion, grace, excellence and beauty. She had the face that could launch a thousand ships, and the soul that can endear a crowd. As her favorite Carpenters song would go, she is now on the top of the world, looking down on creation.

As per her instructions, her remains shall be immediately cremated after a short blessing ceremony. There will be no wake in Las Vegas. She will then be brought back to the Philippines, where the family will hold a small mass which will be published online to observe quarantine procedures during this pandemic.
