Obituary of Mark Anthony Lopez

Mark Anthony Lopez, lovingly known as Babe, Daddy, Dad, Pops, Marco, & SuperLopeezy, died Monday, March 9, 2020 in Henderson, NV at age 43. Mr. Lopez was born September 24, 1976 in Covina, CA. He is the son of Steven Howl and Shirley Ann (Roybal) Howl. He married Mercelenid Odiott-Oquendo on February 15, 2004. Mark graduated from Hopewell High School, Aliquippa, PA. He enjoyed playing football and softball, playing Call of Duty online with his friends and sons, going to the gym, spending time with family and friends, and taking family trips to Disneyland at least twice a year. He served his country in the United States Air Force from 1994 to 2004. Mark enjoyed his job as a ramp supervisor for Southwest Airlines. Mark is survived by his wife: Mercelenid (Odiott-Oquendo) Lopez; his children Anthony, Elijah, Gabriel and Mark Jr.; his father Steven Howl and mother Shirley Ann (Roybal) Howl; his sister Christina (Lopez) Kole and husband Bryan Kole; his sister: Jessica (Lopez) Kinlock and husband Matthew Kinlock; his nephews William, Payton, Nate, Braylon and Dezmond; his nieces: Jocelyn, Krysanthy, Demetria and Sophia; his grandmother Ruth Roybal and many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends that have become family. The funeral will be held 3:00 pm on Friday, March 13, 2020 at Kraft Sussman Funeral & Cremation Services, 3975 S. Durango Drive, Las Vegas, NV with Father Dave Casaleggio officiating. Burial will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City on Thursday, March 19 at 12:00 pm. Calling hours will be Friday, March 13 from 01:00pm-03:00pm at Kraft-Sussman Funeral Services, 3975 S. Durango Drive, Suite 104, Las Vegas, NV. Mark’s family would like to thank Southwest Airlines, friends and family for all of your generosity, prayers, and support during this difficult time. Blessings to all of you.
