Obituary of Helen Lofton Feldman

Helen Lofton Feldman, 91, of Las Vegas, died Friday, November 8, 2019. She was born September 12, 1928 in St. Louis MO. Helen earned BS at Mills College and a Master's Degree from Columbia University in Speech Pathology. She had a long career which included working as a speech pathologist, teaching at UCLA and running a therapy department at the Brotman Hospital in Culver City CA and even singing in New York night clubs. A 22 year resident of Las Vegas, Helen was involved in a number of philanthropic causes including Jewish National Fund, the Jewish Community Center, Stand With Us, Hadassah, and the Jewish Film Festival. Helen is survived by her husband of 32 years, Robert "Bobby" Feldman; children Lorrie Fisher of Irvine CA, Debbie Fisher (Michelle Roberts) of Flagstaff AZ, Michael Feldman (Susan) of Las Vegas, Susan Knopf (Jonathan) of Silverthorn CO, Hal Roman of Los Angeles CA, Norman Shear (Pam) of Nevada City, CA and Wynette Shear of Chatsworth CA; grandchildren Robert Sears, Anna Fisher Roberts, Dr. Erin Johnson (Brandon), Mollie Knopf and Travis Knopf; and six great grandchildren. A memorial service will take place at 11AM on Sunday, November 10 at Las Ventanas at Summerlin, 10401 W. Charleston Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89135.
