Obituary of Rita Yorke

Rita Yorke, age 95, a 14 year resident of Las Vegas, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2019. Rita was born July 22, 1924 in Chicago, IL to the late Morris and the late Clara Sandler. Rita was a very active woman who enjoyed playing golf, mah jong, and canasta. She was a great cook, who could cook anything. She was a very strong Chicago booster and an avid Bulls fan, to say it lightly. Rita is survived by her daughters Sharon (Jerry) Lancz of Las Vegas NV, Adrian Blumberg of Evanston IL and Caryn Sweeney of Carol Stream IL, grandchildren David Lancz, Daniel (Erin Whitt) Lancz, Brian (Marnie) Lancz, Todd (Melissa) Blumberg, Andrew (Kathy) Blumberg, Samantha (Mark) La Vine, Kalee Sweeney, Ashley Davis; and great grandchildren Noah Lancz, Laken Lancz, Jackson Lancz, Brenden Lancz, Morgan Blumberg, Max Blumberg, and niece Renee Zimmerman. The funeral will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at Kraft-Sussman Funeral Services, 3975 S. Durango Drive, Suite 104, Las Vegas, NV. Burial will be at Shalom Memorial Park, Arlington Heights on Friday, November 15 at 10:00 am. Contributions in Rita's memory may be directed to Jewish Family Service Agency, www.jfsalv.org .
