Obituary of Michael Anthony Ortiz

Son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend: Our beloved Michael passed away on Friday, March 11, 2011. Michael was a freshman at UNLV. Michael graduated from Northwest Career and Technical Academy where he was involved in DECA and an honor roll student. He was a wrestler and football player. His love of life, sense of humor, sensitive and loving nature will leave a "void" in the hearts of those he touched. Michael is survived by his parents Annette and Larry Stephens, Sammy and Ginger Ortiz, his sister Melissa, his brother Paul, Grandparents Eva and Chuck Parker, and Sam and Mary Ortiz as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Nap Benavidez. Family, friends and loved ones are welcome to join us in the celebration of Michael's life. A rosary and vigil will be held at 3:45 on Wednesday, March 16th. The Funeral Mass service will be at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 17th all to be held at Christ the King Catholic Community, 4925 S.
