I went to the VA Southeast Clinic yesterday for a blood draw for my upcoming appointment with Dr. Ellis on 5.29.2019 and was told he had passed away two weeks before. I had seen Dr. Ellis for over a decade through the VA system. He was rough at the corners [Brooklyn upbringing] which I loved, a workaholic [on my last visit, I told him he was going to work until he dropped to which he said "I am not doing it for the money....I don't need it"] and a good Hebrew [the type that gives hebs a good name]. I will miss you my passing, caring friend and TYVM.

The candle is lit, and it guided him home to heaven. His spirit will always remain with us. I am proud of knowing him, and we the conversations we had about the mornings all the time. I will miss him and those days.

As a nurse I worked with Dr. Ellis for many of years. He was pleasant and always willing to help. He took great care of his patients. He loved hot dogs and popcorn. God bless his heart may he rest in peace.

I offer my condolences to the family, friends, patients and veterans that he served with/or provided medical services to in the US Air Force and Department of Veteran Affairs of Dr Mark Ellis. I had the pleasure of working with him SNVA Clinic in Henderson, Nevada. He was an interesting person to know and very funny. He gave the best of his wisdom and medical care. It was an honor to work with him and his PACT Team and provide whatever support needed. His dedication to his patients to serve were beyond reproach.
Rest peacefully, Dr Ellis.

My deepest condolences to Lolita, Jay and especially Robert, and all of Mark's family and Lolita's extended family. I've only met and spoken with Mark on a few occaisions over the last 6 or 7 years. He was a very pleasant, quiet, very observant, polite, brilliant, caring kind reserved private gentleman. I can only imagine the incredible amount of lives he touched, healed and loved in his short time here on earth. As in life, I believe in my heart he will continue to look after all whom he loved deeply, cared for, and even our Country, from above. God has another Angel. God Bless Mark, and everyone in his family and extended family. Amen.
