Obituary of Gloria Naomi Kopf

Gloria Naomi Kopf, 80, an 18 year resident of Las Vegas, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2019. Gloria was born August 1, 1938 in Brooklyn NY to the late Jack and the late Anna Simon. Gloria's life revolved around her family. She was an amazing volunteer at her daughters' schools for almost 15 years. When she was the "Attendance Lady" the girls could never miss a class. When she volunteered in the nurse's office, she was often the confidant of the students. When she wasn't volunteering at school, she was active with Bnai Brith or Brandeis Women, often in a leadership position. Gloria enjoyed her animals, doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles and playing mah jongg. She also loved musicals and could often be heard making up songs to the chores she was doing around the house. Gloria is survived by her husband of 59 years, Lester Michael Kopf; daughters Caryn Kopf of Las Vegas NV and Stacy (Mark) Nagel of Yorba Linda CA; grandchildren Emily and Jennifer Nagel; and sisters Eleanor Tay of Brooklyn NY and Linda Zlatkiss of Altamonte Springs FL. A funeral will be held at 10:40 AM on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd., Boulder City, NV.
