Jean Katherine Downey,72, of Las Vegas, NV, passed away on February 1, 2019. She was born on January 17, 1947 in Harlem, NY. Jean is survived by her daughter, Tracey M. West of Las Vegas, NV; Son-in-law, Kobie T. West; one grandson, Brandon J. West of Las Vegas, NV; two sisters, June D. Jones, Deverra A. Trevathan of the Bronx, NY; one brother, Reverend Charles O. Downey, Jr. of Brooksville, FL; a sister in law, Ursala Downey; four nieces, Helena E. Trevathan of the Bronx, NY, Dawn R. Downey of Tampa, FL; Yukie C. Trevathan of Waterbury, CT; Laura J. Downey of Atlanta, GA; two nephews, Donald R. Jones, Jr. of Atlanta, GA and Timothy C. Jones of St. Cloud, FL; one grand-niece, Briyana Trevathan; two grand-nephews, Donald A. Jones and Elijah R. Jones; one goddaughter, Helena Trevathan of the Bronx, NY; and a host of close friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Helen Downey, her brother-in-law Donald R. Jones Sr., and her nephew, Herman A. Trevathan Jr. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a 12:30 PM Funeral Service at Kraft-Sussman Funeral and Cremation Service, 3975 S. Durango Drive, Suite 104, Las Vegas, NV 89147. Burial will follow at 3:00 PM at Davis Memorial Park, 6200 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89119. Jean will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
