Obituary of Maria A Siebert

Maria Benitez Siebert, 83, a 48 year resident of Las Vegas, passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2018. Maria was born in Palma Soriano, Oriente, Cuba to the late Rudecindo Fernandez Barquin and the late Teresa Hernandez Perez. She immigrated to the United States in 1954, coming to care for children of a physician in New York. Maria lived in Miami before moving to Las Vegas in 1970. She worked in the gaming industry, where she met her husband Bernard Siebert, in 1982. They celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on October 11th. Maria's passion was cooking for her family & friends, which she was excellent at. She is survived by her husband Bernard Siebert; brothers in Cuba; Bolivar Arias Hernandez, Berlin Arias Hernandez, Luis Enrique Castro Hernandez, Rogelio Castro Hernandez. Children; the late Robert Sanchez, Carolann Martinez, Roger Rionda, Marcia Rionda and step-daughter Michele. Grandchildren; Jonathan Gomez and Andrew Rionda; and many family members in Miami and Cuba. Services will be Thursday, January 24th at 11:00am at Prince of Peace Catholic Church 5485 E. Charleston Blvd. Las Vegas, NV 89142. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity in Maria's name.
