Obituary of Joseph Kennedy "Ken" Cortes Aganon
Joseph Kennedy “Ken” Cortes Aganon, 63, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2018 in his home with his wife, children and family at his side.
Ken was born in Tarlac City, Tarlac, the Philippines to Dr. Moises U. Aganon Jr., and Lilia C. Aganon on May 27, 1955. He went to high school at Los Altos High School in Los Altos, California and was an outstanding athlete, lettering in varsity football and graduating in 1973. He earned a university scholarship in football, but chose to pursue his studies at home to be closer to his younger siblings. In addition to be an outstanding athlete, he was a skilled artist and musician, apprenticing with a photographer in New York City and starting a career in photography. He later developed an interest in computer systems and worked in IT at the Hilton Hotel, Las Vegas.
Ken is survived by his loving wife Annemarie Don Aganon, of Las Vegas, Nevada. His children Angelo, Alfonso and Antonio, his brothers Keith, John & Clark, sister Kimberly and his mother Lilia C. Aganon. survivors: spouse children, siblings, parents, grandchildren, nieces and nephews). He is preceded in death by his father, Dr. Moises U. Aganon, Jr.
Memorial services will be held at the Chapel of Kraft & Sussman Funeral Services at 3975 S. Durango Dr., Suite 104, Las Vegas, NV, on August 24, 2018 at 1pm.
