Obituary of Robert "Bob" Hoffman

Robert "Bob" Hoffman, age 83, recently making his home in Henderson, NV, formerly residing in Honolulu, HI for the past 47 years, died Thursday, June 21, 2018. Bob was born January 8, 1935 in Montclair NJ, to deceased parents Samuel and Rose (Kaminsky) Hoffman. He earned a BA in Political Science from Bethany College in West Virginia and then enlisted into the Army. Stationed at the Presidio in San Francisco, CA he met and married Harriet Goodman. Bob was a well known and admired entrepreneur and businessman in the San Francisco Bay Area and Honolulu, HI. He was always involved in community service: Chairman of Goodwill in Hawaii, active member of SCORE, member of Sales and Marketing Executives, Hotel and Restaurant Association, and President of the Ala Moana and Kahala Associations. He was an avid sports enthusiast, especially following his New York Yankees. He played tennis for years which gave way to his passion for golf. He ran the Ambassador program for the famous Koolau Golf Course. Bob is survived by his wife of 57 years, Harriet "Hart" Hoffman; children Reed Alan Hoffman and Jeffrey Scott Hoffman; grandchildren Travis Jeffrey (Nadia) Hoffman, Haylee Nicole (Steven McKissick) Hoffman, David Reed Hoffman Coleman and Kaila Rose Hoffman; and great-grandchildren Mason, Addison and Asher.
