Obituary of Dr. Ricardo F. Soto, Jr.

Dr. Ricardo F. Soto, Jr., age 79, of Las Vegas died on Tuesday, May 29, 2018. Dr. Soto was born on May 5, 1939 in the Philippines. He was the son of the late Ricardo and Antonia Soto, Sr. He met his wife, Lydia, when they worked together as medical interns in Elizabeth, New Jersey. He was blessed to be married to Lydia on May 5,1973 at St. Joseph's Church in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. He worked as a physician for many years in Georgia and Rhode Island. He and his wife retired to Las Vegas in 2004. Ricardo was an avid reader, gardener, and classical pianist. He was a loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Las Vegas. He is survived by his wife, Dr. Lydia Soto; one son, Ricardo J. Soto, III; one daughter, Dr. Cynthia Soto; daughter-in-law, Cheryll Icasa Soto; son-in-law, Dr. Louis Lee; and 6 grandchildren. Memorial Mass is scheduled at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89128 for Tuesday, June 5 at 10:30 AM.
