Obituary of Camille Marie Tursi

Camille Marie Tursi, age 90, a 22 year resident of Las Vegas, passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2018. Camille was born May 6, 1928 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Peter and the late Rachel Valletutti. Her mother died when she was 16 years old and Camille went to work for Ebinger's bakery, fulfilling her love for sweets. She met her future husband, Joseph Tursi, when she was 21 and they were married six months later. Camille stayed home to raise her children and after they left the house, went to work for the Brooklyn Department of Motor Vehicles. She was a "tough cookie", always sharing what was on her mind. Camille lived for her family, cooking and playing cards. She is survived by her daughters Kim (Mark) Marcano and Judy (Frank) Galizia; grandchildren Robert Tursi, Jonny Tursi, Frankie (Monica) Galizia, Joseph Galizia, and Brandon (Kara) Marcano; and great grandchildren Frankie Galizia, Kayden and Kylar Marcano, and Ava and Darla Tursi. She is predeceased by her husband Joseph Tursi and son Carl Tursi. A memorial mass will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.
