Obituary of Ruth Ann Whitman

Ruth Whitman, 86, a 28 year resident of Las Vegas, passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2018. Ruth was born August 7, 1931 in New York, NY to the late David and the late Mollie Saltzman. She and her husband, Seymour, owned and operated Whitman's Trade-Rite, a grocery store in Brooklyn NY and retired to Las Vegas. Always very bright and good with finance, Ruth enjoyed playing in the stock market. Ruth is survived by her children Phyllis (Alan) Fields, Steven (Lois) Whitman and Shelley (Joseph) Jacob; 4 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren (with one more on the way. She is predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Seymour Whitman and son Richard Roberts. Services were held on May 21. Her family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at St Rose San Martin for all they did. .
