Obituary of Murray Goldman

Murray Goldman, 90, a 21 year resident of Las Vegas, died Monday, April 23, 2018. Murray was born April 17, 1928 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Harry and the late Anna Goldman. He moved to the Bronx because the doctor advised a "higher altitude" would be better for his recuperation of Rheumatic fever, which he acquired at age 10. Murray served in the Army after high school and then had a career in sales. Murray had a thirst for knowledge. He kept up on current events and regularly attended the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UNLV. He was a sweet, kind and thoughtful man who had a wonderful speaking voice. Everyone who met him felt his love and caring. He was a member of Bet Knesset Bamidbar, a 15 year president of his homeowner sub-association, and also enjoyed playing softball and tennis. Murray is survived by his wife of 31 years Annette Bonder; son David (Yvette) Goldman; stepchildren Todd (Denise) Bonder and Sheryn Bonder; grandchildren Astor Bonder, Gabrielle Bonder, Sarah Bonder, and Shelby Goldman; and many loving nieces and nephews, who came from New York and Florida to celebrate his 90th birthday with him, here in Las Vegas. A memorial service will be held at 9:20 AM on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at the Southern Nevada Veteran's Memorial Cemetery. Contributions in Murray's memory may be made to a nonprofit which protects the environment and People for the American Way. .
