"Attention all hands" " attention all hands" Officer at Heavens Gates
I can hear Commander Reitz telling God at Heavens Gate " Reporting for duty as ordered"
I would trade places with you if that was an option. You were truly an officer and a gentleman . They just do not make them like you any more my friend, go rest now with God.
I will never forget you were one of the first to have lunch with me upon my return from Operation Iraqi Freedom I was truly honored and lucky to call you my brother for we were a Band of brothers.
I salute you Commander Reitz , Now go have that slice of Jewish Rye bread , with nothing on it......and watch your Yankees from Heavens Gates..............Gunny Balderrama
Dr. Reitz is a doctor whom I will never forget! He turned my day around on several occasions and lightened up any room he walked into. All conversations with him hold a special place in my heart! May the Lord bless you Myrna and your family through this rough time <3
Dr. Reitz was a pleasant man to know. He was wise and humble and had time to chat and inspire those who crossed his path in his life. Always brought a smile and respect to folks here at Nichols SJC. He has been and will be missed in our daily routine as we walk the halls here Quest San Juan Capistrano. Thank you Sir for always sharing you time with me when our paths crossed. God's blessing to his incredible spirit and Family.
Words cannot express how sad I am to hear of Dr. Reitz passing. I will miss him. I was in the Military Reserves and he was so supportive when I got recalled and sent to Afghanistan for 7 months. He was kind and generous and always willing to share his knowledge. He will be missed.
Dr. Reitz, you will be deeply missed by myself and so many others. I always enjoyed working for you and helping you any way I could. You and Myrnna have been the nicest, most kind and generous people I've ever known. You will never be forgotten. Thank you for all the great years at QDNI.
Dr. Reitz,
It was an honor and a pleasure to work for you. I loved your stories and corny jokes. I respected your knowledge and advice about both work and life. And while you most often put up a strong stern front, your heart always showed through. You did what was right, not what was easiest. That is true character. Rest in peace, your battle is over.
With much love, admiration and respect.
Marie Pearce
Dr.Reitz was an amazing friend and boss. He taught me so much about Endocrinology. What I cherished about him the most was his caring heart. He was quick with a great story. When he laughed his eyes smiled. Since he was a Navy man and I was raised a Marine Corp brat he used to like to tease me by saying “Don’t forget what it said at the top of your dad’s check DEPARTMENT OF NAVY” Then he would start laughing and wink at me. I will miss you Dr.Reitz. My thoughts and prayers are with Myrna as well as with the whole family.

Dr. Reitz, thank you for all of the time you spent to make me a better person, employee, and manager. You are admired by many. Since you departed from Quest Nichols Institute, it has not been the same. I miss your stories, the "Siesta" comments, and your Chinese proverbs. May God keep you in his Glory and may the Angels sign as they receive you in heaven. RIP
