Obituary of Peter John Babich

Peter "Pete" John Babich, age 72, of Las Vegas passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018. Pete was born February 5, 1945 in Nyack, New York. Born to the late Peter and the late Ruth M. (Baudisch) Babich, he grew up in Bergenfield and Hackensack, NJ. Pete was a brave veteran who served in the U.S Army. He was award the Purple Heart after fighting in the Vietnam War. He was employed by Western Electric as an Electrical Technician and later retired from Lucent. Pete thoroughly enjoyed baseball and was an aficionado of horseracing. He is preceded in death by his parents; John and Ruth Babich; his brother, John; and his sister, Ruth. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Evelyn; an abundance of cousins; his best friend, Rudy; and many other friends he kept dear to his heart. Burial will be at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City on Wednesday, January 17 at 8:40 am. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Cancer Society. . .
