Roman Soliongco “Chito”Peredo, 82, peacefully passed away on August 25, 2021, at his home in Las Vegas.
Born on September 16, 1938, in Pasay City, Philippines to his loving parents Roman Peredo Sr. and Minda Soliongco Peredo. Roman attended Arrellano High School and ranked 8th in the Philippine National Junior Chess Championships in 1957. He received his bachelor’s degree in Science from De La Salle University in Commerce. Roman was a well-liked, trusted, and respected CPA/Principal Bank Examiner for the New York State Banking Department for 25 years.
Roman was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching sports such as college football, women's soccer and WNBA, and the Olympics. He was a fan of the arts as well as he enjoyed watching and never missing the Academy Awards, Grammy Awards, Miss Universe and Miss USA pageants. In addition to his love of sports and arts, he enjoyed singing whenever he had the opportunity..
Roman was a devoted, loving husband and best friend to his wife Anicia, married October 3, 1970, at the Pope Plus Church and the Manila Hotel. He was a loving father and enjoyed spending quality time with his family. Chito had a great sense of humor. He was a great family man giving very much of his time to his wife and children. He was a good provider and he always made sure his family and friends felt secure in the face of any injustice. He will truly be missed.
Those left to cherish his precious memories are his beloved wife of 50 years Anicia Peredo of Las Vegas, sons; Perry and Philip Peredo of Las Vegas, daughter Pamela Peredo of San Diego, daughter-in-law Mary Joy, sister Susan Peredo in Pasay City, grandchildren Grady, Mylz, Max, and Maddox, and a host of friends and family.
A Church Service will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at 11 am at Central Church located at 1001 New Beginnings Drive, Henderson, Nevada
Lunch: Saturday August 28, 2021, at 12 noon. Tickle Me Comedy Club at Firelight Barn. 546 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV.
A Memorial Service will be held on August 28, 2021, at 2pm. The Celebration will be held at Kraft Sussman Funeral Services, 3975 S. Durango Drive, Ste. 105, Las Vegas, NV 89147. The family has also requested an open mic for guests to share their fondest memories of Roman.
A Celebration of Life will be held one year later in August 2022 in Las Vegas.
Those that cannot attend in person, a zoom service has been scheduled to attend virtually for Roman’s Celebration of Life. Please contact the Peredo family or Kraft Sussman for zoom information.
Annie, Philip, Perry, Pamela, and Mary Joy would like to thank all our family and friends who gave their condolences online and in person. We are grateful for your support and sympathy during such a difficult time. Roman has checkmated the Game of Life and is now in the Winner’s Circle up in Heaven with his Creator.
