Don M. Jong passed away at the age of sixty-six on January 1, 2021 in Henderson, Nevada. He was born on August 28, 1954 in San Francisco, California to Kay Suey Jong and Ruby Quon. Don was one of five siblings; Kim, Yewmond, Cinfonie, and Gene. He and his family grew up in San Francisco, California. After graduating from Balboa High School in San Francisco, he started college at San Francisco City College and then went on to Sacramento State University. He worked at Sun Microsystems for approximately 18 years and left as an Account Manager. Don's hobbies included: metal detecting, riding his Harley with various motorcycle clubs, collecting coins, sports memorabilia, playing tennis, bowling and spending time volunteering. For Don, there was no such thing as being a stranger. He made friends everywhere he went. If he wasn't trying to feed you with his homemade cooking, he was telling a great story. He was known for being friendly, kind-hearted, outgoing, incredibly generous, with an infectious smile and laugh. Don was greatly loved by his friends and family. He is survived by his wife, Maria; children, Jonathan, Loriana and Heather; and grandchildren, Rubiana, Anthony, Kadec, and Mason. A celebration of life will be held in the Spring.
