Marvin Jasper Ross, age 93, of Las Vegas, died Tuesday, July 10, 2012. Marvin was born September 23, 1918 in Iola KS to the late Joseph William and the late Sophronia Pearl (Carter) Ross. He served in the Army's 82nd Airborne during World War II, fighting in every battle they were in. Marvin was a lifetime member of the American Legion of Belleview FL and the Silver Wings Assoc. of FL. Marvin worked in management for Eastern Airlines. He is survived by his children Franklin (Suk Hi) Ross of Las Vegas, Leta Tucker of Hickory NC, Galen Ross of Pueblo CO; grandchildren Sandra Ross, Rebecca (Richard) Horne, James Waggoner, Kathryn (Josh) Wood, Laura (Steve) Allport, William Marcus (Tami) Tucker, Kelly (Mike) Matthews; and great grandchildren Tera Walsh, Jennifer Travers, Meghan and Keith South, Kyle and Michael Tucker, Hailey and Lacie Matthews. Marvin is predeceased by his wife, Catherine. A memorial service will be held at the Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, FL.
