Sheldon Jerome Gordon, 85, a 22 year resident of Las Vegas, passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2019. Sheldon was born October 29, 1933 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Meyer and the late Eva Gordon. Sheldon was a graduate of Columbia School of Pharmacy, and had a long career as a licensed pharmacist. Sheldon served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a proud member of Union Local 1199 for hospital workers and pharmacists. We can't speak of Sheldon without mentioning his love of good food. He was a car enthusiast and a history buff. Sheldon and his wife, Judy, travelled the world together. The pride of his life were his children and especially his grandchildren, whom he spoke to and saw very often and whom they affectionately referred to as, "Da". Sheldon is survived by his wife of 62 years Judith Gordon; children Abby (Dr. Lawrence) Newman, Nancy Gordon and Peter (Jody) Gordon and grandchildren Jared Newman, Max Newman, Amanda Newman and Miles Gordon. A graveside service is planned.
