If you know your loved one wanted cremation services in Las Vegas, NV when they passed on, it’s not hard to make that decision. But cremation has a lot of customizations and options you can include to make things more special to honor that person. One thing many people do surrounding a memorial service or ash scattering is create a photo book that showcases special moments in that person’s life. Here are a few ideas to help you with that process:

Create A Book Online

You might have most of your pictures on your computer, as do most of your family members. Gather the photos you want from everyone who has good ones and create a photo book on a website and then have it printed out. It’s a nice way to create a memorial book because you can print out as many copies as you want. You’ll want one for the memorial, but it’s nice to have copies for other special family members to keep as well.

Go Through Old Albums

While more recent photos might be stored on your computer, what about the pictures from your loved one’s childhood? You might have to go through some photo albums in their home if you want to go back that far. Be careful with those photos since they might be aged and deteriorating, depending on how they were kept. Scan them into your computer to preserve them, perhaps, and add them to an online book or print out new copies.

Get Input From Others

There are a lot of other people in your life who might be able to contribute to the book. Perhaps you have close family members with pictures you don’t have. They can share those with you and make the book come alive even more. Maybe you have a writer in your family who could write stellar captions. Or perhaps there’s someone in your family who never forgets a date who could help you with the timeline of things.

Making a photo book filled with pictures of your loved one through their lifetime is a great way to honor their memory. It can certainly add to their memorial service and it’s a nice way for you to look back on their life and remember the good times you had with them, too.
