Obituary of Towan Butler

Towan Butler,Sr. was born in Rahway, NJ June 7th 1952 and passed away January 16th 2010 in Las Vegas, NV. He was a great role model for many due to his successful 19 years sobriety. He had a desire to help others in their journey to sobriety by becoming a motivational speaker, also by donating his time and wisdom. Towan, among many passions, loved basketball and was a huge Lakers Fan. He enjoyed music, singing, poetry and never turned away good home cooking. Towan was a warmhearted person who was always willing to give. In return, he was blessed with many truthful friends who stood by him until the end. He is survived by his wife Michelle Butler, son Towan Butler Jr. , grandchild Idaliah Butler, father Maurice Butler, sisters Maria & Tara Butler, and his lovely pooch Champagne (also known at "Tt") A reception will be held at 4:00 PM on Friday, January 22 at the Willows Community Center, 2775 Desert Marigold Lane, 89135, with a celebration of life service beginning at 5:00PM.
