Obituary of Claire Doris Kaufman

Claire Doris Kaufman, age 71, of Las Vegas died Saturday, December 26. She was born November 8, 1938 in New York City, NY to the late Frank Martin and the late Rose (Lazarowitz) Kaufman. Claire's career was in educational sales. She was an active member of Temple Bet Emet, serving as secretary of the board for 6 years. She was also active in the Multiple Myeloma Foundation and The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Claire is survived by her dear friend/"sister", Nan Birnbaum of Las Vegas; daughters, Fran (Robert) Dordick and grandsons Jacob and Elliot of Charlotte, NC, Rhonda (Kevin) O'Connell and grandson Sean of Lyndhurst, OH and son, Bruce Grossman and grandson Zachary of Maitland, FL. A funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, December 29 at Kraft-Sussman Funeral Services, 3975 S. Durango Dr., #104,Las Vegas, NV 89147. Burial will follow at King David Memorial Chapel & Cemetery, 2697 E. Eldorado Ln. Las Vegas, NV, 89120. A minyan will take place at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, December 29 at the home of Rita and Bill Frushtick. Contributions in Claire's memory may be made to The Multiple Myeloma Foundation, Nathan Adelson Hospice, Temple Bet Emet or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
