Obituary of Frederick Glick

Frederick Glick, 80, of Las Vegas died Saturday, December 5, 2009 after a long illness. Fred was born October 8, 1929 in Bronx, NY. He is the son of the late Morris Louis and the late Sadie (Weinstein) Glick. Fred leaves a wonderful legacy to his children and grandchildren. He was born to parents of meager means and worked hard to accomplish his dreams. As a first generation college student, he worked his way through college and law school to become an attorney and CPA. Some of his professional accomplishments include serving as the Director of the Real Estate Board of New York, President of Temple Beth Israel, Treasurer of Cross, Brown & Shorenstein, an adjunct real estate law professor of New York University, a mediator of the American Arbitration Association, and a pro-bono tax consultant for the elderly. Fred is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Dolores (Dee) Glick of Las Vegas; daughter, Michelle Laurie Abt of Florida; son, Seth Glick of Florida and five grandchildren. Burial will be in Mt. Hebron Cemetery in Flushing, New York. Dee will be sitting shivah at her home on Thursday, December 10 from 6:00-8:00 PM, with a memorial service at 6:30 PM; Friday, December 11 from 10:00 AM-noon, Sunday, December 13 from 10:00 AM-2:00 PM, Monday, December 14 from 10:00 AM-2:00 PM and Tuesday, December 15 from 10:00 AM-noon. Contributions in Fred's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
