Obituary of Leo Baldassare

Leo Baldassare, age 77, of Las Vegas died Monday, November 30, 2009. Leo was born April 13, 1932 in Italy to the late Ferdinando and the late Maria (Chikalela) Baldassare. Leo served as a corporal in the Army from 1950-1952. Following the service he was employed as a longshoreman. Leo loved sports, especially the NY Giants and the NY Mets. He also enjoyed the Florida race tracks. Leo is survived by his daughters Phyllis (Joseph) Punturiero of Las Vegas, NV, Leah (Vincent) Gallo of Las Vegas, NV and Maria Burns of Staten Island, NY, his sisters Tiberia Balbi of NJ and Elizabeth Tullo of NJ; and 4 grandchildren Gina, Angelo and Francesca of Las Vegas, NV and Samantha of Staten Island, NY. Leo was predeceased by his son in law, Paul Burns. A memorial service will be held at Kraft-Sussman Funeral Services, 3975 S. Durango Drive, #104, Las Vegas, NV 89147 at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, December 2, 2009.
