Obituary of John William Holthus

John William Holthus, 62, of Las Vegas, died October 27, 2011. He was born in Winner, SD to the late Donald William Holthus and the late Agnes Linnea (Nordell) Holthus. John graduated from Lane High School, attended Northern State University, served as a submariner in the Navy, and then graduated from the University of Missouri with a B.A. in Communications. John had a sincere interest in other people and the world. He enjoyed reading, hiking, playing guitar, and dogs. His final gift was being a tissue donor. John is survived by his brothers Pastor Jim Holthus of Bemidji, MN and David Holthus of Woonsocket, SD, and by his partner, Kimberly. Services will be held in South Dakota in December.
