Obituary of Pearl Marie Kendrick

Pearl Marie Kendrick, age 60, of Las Vegas passed away Sunday, April 17, 2011. Pearl was born August 12, 1950 in Brownwood, TX to the late Farries and the late Vivian Marie (Williams) Gaston. Pearl loved to cook and was an Assistant Executive Chef with University Medical Center, Valley Hospital and the MGM Hotel. She took great pride in creating meals for her church and her large extended family. Pearl is survived by her husband William Henry Kendrick; children Ledah (Brock) DeBouck, Clayton Kendrick and Diedre Butler; grandchildren Vladimir Butler, Christopher DeBouck, Franqui Butler, Brendan DeBouck, Lenai DeBouck all of Las Vegas; siblings Anita Gaston of Wasco CA, Marilyn (Timothy) Calhoun of Wasco CA, Farrilyn Diaz of Las Vegas, Eva Gaston of Virginia Beach VA, Rev. Kim (Sylvia) Gaston of Long Beach CA, Adrienne Smith of Bakersfield CA, Joy Rollins of Bakersfield CA, Alan (Patricia) Gaston of Atlanta GA, Gloria (Chester) Little of Las Vegas, Karen Newhouse of Daly City CA and Donnie (Shirley) Walton of Carson CA; and a host of nieces, nephews and godchildren. Pearl is predeceased by her son Aaron Butler. The funeral will be held 9:30 am on Monday, April 25 at Remnant Ministries, 325 East Windmill Lane, Las Vegas, NV. Burial will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City on Monday, April 25 at 12:00 pm. Calling hours will be Sunday, April 24 from 2:00-5:00 PM at Kraft-Sussman Funeral Services, 3975 S. Durango Drive, #104, Las Vegas, 89147 and Monday, April 25 from 8:30-9:30AM at Remnant Ministries, 325 East Windmill Lane, Las Vegas, 89123. A repast will be held at the East Las Vegas Community Center, 250 N. Eastern, Las Vegas, NV, 89101, immediately following the interment.
