Obituary of Stanley Greenwald

Our beloved husband and father Stanley Greenwald, age 77, passed away April 8, 2011. He was born in Philadelphia, PA and graduated from Dobbins Tech. School in Philadelphia. Stan proudly served in the United States naval air from 1952 until his retirement in Hawaii in 1978. He served in the Philippines, Okinawa, and flew many missions during the Viet Nam war. He was a crew officer flying with the p-3 Orion sub chasing aircraft performing anti submarine warfare. After his naval retirement, he was employed with Lockheed Martin Corp. In Burbank, CA as a marketing engineer. Stan spent the last 21 years residing in Las Vegas, NV. Stan is survived by his wife of 42 years, Nancy Lee, as well as three daughters, Stacy Clowe, Jana Centeio, and Jere Sherrier. Other surviving family members include his loving sister Nannette Robin of Philadelphia, nephew Brian Di Marino, nieces Andrea Manno, Linda Crusemire, and Sheri Goldsmith. Stan had seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Ethel M. (Mickey) Di Marino. Stan's deep love and dedication for his family and friends was always apparent. After his second retirement, he spent his leisure years with his family, enjoying golf, and traveling in his motorhome with his wife Nancy and their two loving cats. Stanley's remains will be laid to rest at Punchbowl National Cemetery in Honolulu, HI, with full military honors. Donations may be made to the Nathan Adelson hospice in memory of Stanley Greenwald.
