Obituary of David Carter Borgos

DAVID BORGOS David "Dave" Carter Borgos, 52, passed away peacefully March 3, 2011 in Las Vegas. He was born May 12, 1958, in Columbus, Ohio, to Donald and Gladys Borgos. He married Rita Fay Roy March 26, 1980. They were blessed with three children, Paul, Megan and Erin. He graduated from Western High School in 1977, and earned a BA in business management from National University. Dave served in the U.S. Army 1st Infantry Division Forward. He worked for the local telephone company for 28 years and later worked as a supervisor for DirecTV. Dave was an avid fisherman who loved the outdoors. He enjoyed playing pool, was a lover of music and playing his guitar. Dave is survived by his wife, Rita; his son, Paul; daughter, Megan (Spencer) Beals and daughter, Erin; his father, Donald; his sister, Kathy, brothers, Bruce (Pamela) and John (Marcia); six nephews; three nieces; and his grandson, Sawyer Beals. He was preceded in death by his mother Gladys Virginia Borgos April 14, 2010. He will be missed by many friends, especially Tic and Vonda Carlson and Rusty and Mitza Coleman. He will be missed by his pets, Rufus and Miss Puppy. Memorial services are planned for March 12, at 11 a.m. at the Community Lutheran Church at 3720 E. Tropicana Ave. Interment will be held privately at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
