Obituary of Wallace Ivan Hollander

Wallace Ivan Hollander, age 90, of Las Vegas, passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2018. Wally, as he was affectionately known, was born February 15, 1928 in Brooklyn NY to the late Julius and the late Molly (Kornblum) Hollander. Wally served in the Army during the Korean Conflict and had a career in sales and manufacturing of girls' dresses. He enjoyed traveling and was passionate about his family. Wally is survived by his children Jill (Michael) Tortosa of Coronado CA, Wendy (Paul) Patunoff of Plattsburgh NY, and Barry (Georgia) Hollander of Wellington FL; grandchildren Lee Lewis, Adam Tortosa, Hannah Tortosa, Casey (Jeremiah Dickerson) Patunoff, Dane (Colleen Mihal) Patunoff, Matthew (CeeCee Carpenter) Hollander, Jacqueline Hollander; great grandchildren Sylvie and Bennett Dickerson, Bodhi and Kaya Patunoff and Hope Hollander; sister in law and husband Myrna and Anthony Stefanelli; and longtime partner Pearl Heiteen. He is preceded in death by his wife of 53 years Phyllis Hollander and his brother Sherwin Hollander. A funeral service with military honors will take place at 4 PM on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Kraft-Sussman Funeral Services, 3975 S. Durango Drive, Suite 104, Las Vegas, NV 89147. Burial will follow at the Southern Nevada Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City.
