Obituary of Brian Christopher Federizo

Brian passed peacefully, from this life, the evening of January 28th 2018. He was surrounded by his loving family during his last days. Brian was 55 years old. Brian was born on April 14th, 1962 in Oakland, CA. The second child of James and Cresencia Medina Federizo. The family moved to Fremont, CA in the fall of 1963. Brian attended Mowry Elementary School, Walters Jr. High and JFKennedy High School. He furthered his education at Ohlone Community College and was interested in Fine Arts. He continued to go on to Cal State Hayward, where he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Graphic Arts in June of 1985. Brian was loved and admired by all who knew him.... a very generous man with a "HUGE" heart and a very humble personality. And definitely a Mama's boy! Brian enjoyed his work....ESCOLTA Fine Art Custom Framer, and Art Directors at several sign and banner shops. Brian also was the Production Manager and Artistic Director at a banner and button maker in Fremont, CA. In 2000, he followed that job, moving and relocating to Las Vegas, NV. Brian's job for the last eight years was Graphics Manager for Xibit Solutions Trade Show Booth Designs in Las Vegas. His co-workers remember him as a kind and talented Team Member. Brian was very active in Hawaiian Outrigger Canoe Team Paddling and participated and coached on several canoe teams. Brian was able to travel to many places while competing and forged many lasting friendships during this time. In his honor, a memorial canoe paddle/ride will be held in San Francisco Bay at Pete's Harbor in Redwood City, CA. Brian is survived by his parents, James and Cresencia Medina Federizo; his brother, Stephen Federizo; his nephew, Stephen Federizo II (Amber); grand-nephew, Jaden and grand-niece, Stephanie; his nephew, Aaron Federizo (Heather); grand-nephews and grand-nieces, Dominic, Isaiah, Jaden and Sarah , Jared Federizo (Perla) of Las Vegas; his aunts and uncles, Filomeno (Lydia) Medina, Lina (Frank) Sainz, Maria Federizo Santiago, Juliet (William) Gutierrez and Arleen Federizo Tannahill; numerous loving cousins (you know who you are). Especially "The Medina/Mariano Family" which Brian designed all of the T-shirt for all the reunions for 25 years. Brian is preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Patricia A. Federizo; grandparents, Cipriano "Cip" and Emerenciana Federizo of Alameda, CA., and Victorio and Amancia Medina of Daly City, CA.; and aunts, Milagros Medina Escolta and Esperanza Medina Luansing. A Memorial is scheduled for Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 12:00 Noon at St. Thomas Moore Church, 1300 Junipero Serra Blvd, San Francisco, CA. A reception to follow on Church Campus.
