Obituary of Donald Pyne

Donald Pyne, age 83, of Las Vegas passed away Saturday, October 21, 2017 at home in Las Vegas. Mr. Pyne was born July 12, 1934 in Lynn, MA. He is the son of the late Charles and the late Helen Pyne. He served in the United States Air Force. He was an Owner / Operator in the Elevator Construction Business and was the President of the International Union of Elevator Constructors Local 18 in Los Angeles that also covered Las Vegas and San Diego. He loved animals, which lead him to his wife, Anita Pyne. He is also survived by two sisters, Helen and her spouse Curt; Alice and long time friend Betty; two brothers, Bob and his spouse Ann; Jim and his spouse Barbara; and a host of grandchlidren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He enjoyed flying as a pilot and classic cars; he was a volunteer with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and faithfully served the Heaven Can Wait Sanctuary and the Las Vegas Valley Humane Society. Catholic Mass will be held 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive, Las Vegas, NV. A visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 prior to the Mass. Burial will be at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 2:00 pm. He will be greatly missed. An Irish Blessing May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, and rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
