Obituary of Malvina Mary Zampino

Malvina Mary Zampino, age 90, of Las Vegas, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2017. Malvina was born September 10, 1927 in East Chicago, IN to the late Dan and the late Helen (Pasztor) Bartok. She married Anthony Zampino, a small business owner in Calumet City, Illinois. They were married for 55 years. She worked in the retail sector in a variety of positions. Malvina enjoyed many activities including playing the penny machines at the local casinos, bowling, knitting, crocheting, and golfing. She was also an avid reader who truly enjoyed words. Malvina is preceded in death by her husband, Anthony. She is survived by her daughter Lisa Zampino of Las Vegas, NV; three sons Chris Alan Zampino of Las Vegas, NV, Anthony (Sheryl) Zampino of Tallahassee, FL and Rick (Andrea) Zampino of Dallas, TX; grandchildren Mary (Guy), Elizabeth (Mikol), Sarah, Colton (Masha), Kali and Nikki; and great grandchildren Oliver and Dean. The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Kraft-Sussman Funeral Services, 3975 S. Durango Drive, Suite 104, Las Vegas, NV. A visitation will take place at the same location from 10:00-11:00 am and immediately after the service until 1:00 PM. A service in Schereville IN will take place at a date to be announced in the future.
