Obituary of Paul "Ed" Raby

Paul Edgar Raby, Jr., 68, of Las Vegas, died September 19, 2017 at his home. He was predeceased by his father and mother, Paul Sr. and Edith Raby, his brother, David Raby, and his wife, Janet Arthur Raby. He is survived by his brother, Carroll Raby, of Candler, NC; his daughter, Kate Robledo (Danny), of Carson City; his granddaughter, Lucy Robledo, also of Carson City; his partner, Marthe Winner, of Las Vegas; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, both undergraduate and law school, he served in the United States Air Force's JAG Corps. Ed was a partner in the Greenman, Goldberg, Raby and Martinez law firm. He was a kind and generous man, who loved family and friends, good food and drink, Tar Heel sports, and fast cars. (He competed in SCCA-sanctioned races). He will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the World Wildlife Fund, 1250 24th St. NW, Washington DC 20037. Private memorial services will be scheduled, both in Las Vegas and Asheville NC.
