Obituary of Trudi Corber

Trudi Corber, 90 years old, of Agoura, California, passed away peacefully, Friday September 1, 2017. She was born February 8, 1927, in Chicago, Illinois to Sigmund (dec) and Belle Cohen (dec) and was the younger sister to Carol (Zatz)(dec). Trudi attended junior college following high school graduation. Upon graduation she got her first job at Walter E Heller Company. She met and married her husband, Michael Corber (dec) on June 17, 1951 at the Belden Stratford hotel in downtown Chicago. Following the births of three children and a move to California, Trudi returned to find a job she loved at The New Chronicle in Thousand Oaks, CA. She worked in their National Advertising department for 20 years. She enjoyed and excelled at her job, and was recognized multiple times. She also made lifetime friendships with various colleagues. Trudi's hobbies included rose gardening, reading, and sewing as well. Trudi is loved and survived by her children Debbie (Bennett), Mark Corber, and Jeffrey (Jill) Corber, and grandchildren Daniel Ockrim, Matthew Ockrim, and Irelyn Corber. We will all miss you. Funeral service will be held at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Chapel on Wednesday Sept 6, 2017 at 10:40am.
