Obituary of Jennette "Jeannie" Nuttall

Jennette "Jeannie" Nuttall, age 94, a 40-year resident of Las Vegas, passed away on Friday, August 11, 2017. Jeannie was born February 15, 1923 in Boston, MA to the late Ilias Laibe and the late Milka Chava Hyman. She was predeceased in 1966, by her beloved first husband, Isadore William Herman, after 18 years of marriage. In 1977, Jeannie married Donald Nuttall, with whom she enjoyed almost 40 years of marriage. Jeannie was a very patriotic woman. During WWII, she was the first woman to be a crane operator in the Boston Naval Shipyard; she donate blood as often as was allowed; and she worked at the USO. In the 1960s Jeannie also worked in the hardgoods department at the Arcade Bazaar in Revere Beach MA, where she was the only female manager. In Las Vegas, Jeannie and her husband, Donald Nuttall, opened Jeannie and Don's Burger Box, a popular resturant on East Charleston. After retiring, Jeannie volunteered for the Clark County School District, helping children learn to read. Jeannie is survived by her husband Donald Nuttall of Las Vegas; Children Jane Arlene (Anna) Herman of Santa Rosa, CA, Richard (Maria) Peter Herman of Hollis, NH, and Rhonda Herman-Davis of Las Vegas, NV; sister Adrienne Wortman of Henderson, NV; and grandchildren Daniel Davis, Jason (April) Davis, Diana Davis, , Jennifer Nicole Herman, Brittany Gayle (Matt) Boudreau; great grandchildren Harlee Sanchez, Troy Davis, abd Fiona Boudreau. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, August 14, 2017 at Kraft-Sussman Funeral Services, 3975 S. Durango Drive, #104, Las Vegas NV 89147. Burial will follow at Bunkers Memory Gardens Cemetery, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road, Las Vegas, NV 89129.
