Obituary of Yetta Lesser

Yetta Lesser, 92, of Las Vegas, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2017. Yetta was born October 8, 1924 in New York NY to the late Max and the late Bessie Avnet. Yetta moved to Las Vegas two years ago, after living the first 90 years of her life in New York. She retired from Panasonic, where she worked as a collection agent, personally going to retailers who owed money to her firm, to collect the debt. Yetta was a very outgoing and loving woman, who would talk to anyone she met, whether she knew them or not. She especially loved babies and would never hesitate to pick up a baby if she saw one, with or without the permission of the family. After she retired, Yetta was involved with the Five Towns Music and Art Society, which gave scholarships to students who wanted to pursue a career in the arts. She was also a member of Hadassah in the Five Towns area. Yetta is survived by her children Ricki (Charlie) Sachen of Las Vegas, and Matthew (Lee) Lesser of Southbury CT; grandchildren Craig (Nicole) Sachen of Las Vegas, Scott (Lisa) Sachen of Torrington CT and Jordan Lesser of Waterbury CT; and great grandchildren Hailee Sachen, Jocelynn Sachen, Maddyson Sachen, and Spencer Sachen all of Las Vegas, and Sabrina Sachen, Nicholas Sachen and Christopher Sachen of Torrington. She is predeceased by her six siblings. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Bunkers Memory Gardens Cemetery, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road, Las Vegas.
