Obituary of Michael Stanley Drabant

Michael Stanley Drabant, age 65, passed away May 9, 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada, following a courageous 15-month battle with pancreatic cancer.

He was born on March 13, 1952 in Lincoln, NE, the first child of Stan and Jody Drabant.  Mike was a graduate of Lincoln Northeast High School and became a Master Plumber.  In 1972, he married Doris, the love of his life. For the past 25 years they have lived in great state of Texas where he was a senior project manager for Dynamic Systems USA, a construction company.  Most recently he was supervising the construction of the Jennie Sealy Hospital for the University of Texas Medical Branch, in Galveston Texas.

Mike is survived by his wife, Doris Drabant , and son Bradlee Drabant M.D. (Brandon Banks-Drabant).  He has three sisters, Becky Moock (Jim), Jenny Drabant-Greever (Brent) and Kris Koch (Dan).  Many nieces and nephews also survive him.  His daughter, Lori Lynn Drabant, and his father, Stanley Drabant, preceded him in death.

Following Mike’s wishes funeral service will not be held.  A “Celebration of Life” get-together will be held at a later date.  Memorials may be sent to family to help defray medical expenses.
