Obituary of Ronald Lisowski

Ronald John Lisowski

Ronald John Lisowski, (65), passed away on April 27, 2017, at home after a brief fight against multiple cancers. He fought hard having an intense will to overcome his diseases. Ron, a 31-year resident of Las Vegas, was born in Berwyn, IL and grew up in South Chicago, lived in California for a few years and then moved to Denver, Colorado, where he met his wife. Ron and Carol were married at the Little Church of the West in Las Vegas in 1984. Left behind to mourn him are his beloved wife, Carol Helton Lisowski, his mother, Jean Lisowski of Las Vegas, NV, and stepson, David Phillips of Henderson, NV, and Harley, his Golden Retriever boy. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Lisowski, and the family's Peek-a-Poo, Muffy, both in 1999.

Ron was a systems analyst for the Las Vegas Valley Water District since 2000 and a former aerospace engineer for many years. He was a life time member of the Harley Owners Group and served the local chapter as a Road Captain in 2003.

Ron and Carol loved to travel and were fortunate to be able to travel to many places in the United States, Canada, Italy, Portugal, Spain and London, as well as cruising in the Caribbean and the Greek Islands for their 30th anniversary. For the last several years, the family spent every December in the Hawaiian islands, where Ron and Carol had planned to retire to in 2018. Ron was very active and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, Jeeping, sailing, snorkeling, diving, bicycling, playing his guitars and recently his ukuleles.

A Hawaiian water burial ceremony will be this month in Hawaii where his ashes will be scattered with blossoms and leis while being accompanied by ukulele music.
