Obituary of Martha Rosas

Martha Rosas Jetha, 64, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on March 31, 2017 in Las Vegas, NV. Martha was born in Pharr, TX to Socorro and Jose Rosas on September 3, 1952. She attended high school at Aberdeen High School and graduated in 1973. She went on to earn a BSN degree in nursing from UNLV. She worked as a registered nurse for UMC and Lake Mead Hospital for many years. She enjoyed spending time with family, listening to music, and watching TV and movies. She also enjoyed reading, going out to eat (especially for dessert), sketching, painting, fashion, and shopping. She loved children and animals, and was involved in animal rescue. Martha is survived by her daughter Shaida Shamim (Usman Malik) Jetha of Las Vegas; sisters Gloria (Rick) Tschetter of Las Vegas, Irma (Robert) Bringhurst of Las Vegas, Elsa (Richard) Villalobos of Monterey, CA, and Linda Rosas of Las Vegas; brother Jose (Rebecca) Rosas, Jr. of Las Vegas; mother Socorro Rosas of Las Vegas; granddaughter Sophia Yasmin Malik of Las Vegas; nephews Jason Bringhurst of Las Vegas, Michael Bringhurst of Las Vegas, Eric Bringhurst of Las Vegas, and Alex Villalobos of Monterey, CA; nieces Linsey Tschetter of Las Vegas, Samantha Tschetter of Las Vegas, and Alyssa Villalobos of Monterey, CA. She is preceded in death by her father, Jose Rosas and brother, Ricardo Rosas.
