Obituary of Earl Sidney Lebovitz

Earl Sidney Lebovitz, 73, of Las Vegas and formerly of Chicago, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2017. Earl was born March 4, 1943 in Chicago IL to the late Benjamin and the late Sylvia (Weiss) Lebovitz. Earl served in the Illinois National Guard. He owned Sammy's Red Hots in Chicago and was an avid Cubs, Bears, Blackhawks and Bulls fan. He was very, very happy to have lived to see the Cubs win the Title. Earl is survived by his wife of 51 years, Idelle Lebovitz; children Debra Lebovitz, Vicki Lebovitz, James (Analee) Lebovitz and William (Jennifer) Lebovitz; and grandchildren Jordan Sullivan, Marina Avila. He is predeceased by grandson Philip Benjamin Lebovitz and brothers Norman (Sheila) Lebovitz and William (Dorothy) Lebovitz. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Bunkers Memory Gardens Cemetery, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road, Las Vegas, NV. Contributions in Earl's memory may be made to the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society. Shiva will be at the family home on Sunday and Monday. .
