Obituary of Traci Lynn Jarrell

Traci Lynn Jarrell, 59, of Las Vegas, died peacefully in her home surrounded by her loved ones on January 14, 2017. Traci was born June 10, 1957 to Joan Stenson and the late Richard Alger. She spent most of her younger years in California until 1994 when she and her family moved to Las Vegas. Traci married her husband Kevin Jarrell on December 21, 1985 in California.  They just celebrated their 31st anniversary.  Traci loved children – so much so that she spent most of her years working as a daycare provider so that she could stay home with her own children as well. In 2010, and once her own children were grown, she left the home to find outside work.  Traci worked for a small business called Alaska’s Bakery making organic dog biscuits and she also worked with her Mom at Macy’s selling Guess watches until she became ill. Her family was her passion; especially her grandchildren and she looked forward to her weekly lunch and shop date with her Mom. She loved to host and entertain and frequently had gatherings at the house. She also loved attending GA meetings and spending time with the friends she met along the way. Her favorite vacations were cruises or trips to California and her favorite TV shows were game shows.  She was a soap opera fan, Dodgers fanatic and a chocoholic.   Traci is survived by her husband Kevin; children Tara, Sean, Ryan, Jarett, and Jenna; grandchildren Cody, Hayli, Olivia, Jake, Kaylynn, and Jypsy; mother Joan Stenson; and brother Rick Alger. She is preceded in death by her father, Richard Alger.
