Obituary of Walter Howard Goldberg

Walter Howard Goldberg, age 84, of Las Vegas died Tuesday, October 19, 2010. Wally was born September 9, 1926 in Chicago IL to Harry and Ida Goldberg. After graduating high school, Wally served in the Army. He married Jean Marie Hirsch in 1947; they raised their family in Chicago. He was the Director of Sales for Saul Siegel & Company, a major Midwest fabric distributor. Wally was considered to be the best golfer in Sun City. Known as the Silver Fox by his golfing friends, he had five hole-in-ones. He also loved ballroom dancing and drawing. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jean Goldberg; children Dr. Gary (Pamela) Goldberg of Las Vegas, Suzanne Williamson of San Diego CA, Diane (Dr. Steven) Hanus of Lincolnwood IL and Mark (Carol) Goldberg of Buffalo Grove IL; grandchildren Greg (Stephanie) Draven of Los Angeles CA, Aaron (Kelley Nyquist) Goldberg of Las Vegas, Zachary Vincent Goldberg of Alicante Spain, Trevor and Taylor Williamson of San Diego CA, Katie (Dr. Matt) Doscher of Bronx NY, Carolyn and Lara Hanus of Lincolnwood IL and Craig and Andrew Goldberg of Atlanta GA. A memorial service will be held at 11:20 am on Monday, October 25, 2010 at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd, Boulder City NV.
