Obituary of Brett Arthur Hern

Brett Hern November 27, 1964 – August 14, 2016 Las Vegas —Brett A. Hern, "Halo" age 51 was suddenly called to his heavenly home on August 14, 2016. Brett is survived by his beloved wife Janda, three children: Niquole, Sean and Amber and five grandchildren. He also leaves his parents William and Jacquoline, his brother Mike, his sister Cheri, countless friends, coworkers, and brother riders. His wife Janda was the love of his life. Brett served his country with honor for 18 years in the Air Force as a civil engineering craftsman, where he earned numerous medals and awards and took part in Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm. After his separation from the military he moved to Las Vegas to begin a career as a civil engineer first at Martin and Martin Engineering and then spending the last 12 years at Lochsa Engineering as a Senior Project Manager. Brett's passions included collecting knifes, scorpion figures, weapons and highest of all was to feel the wind on his face while on his bike. He took part in numerous rides raising funds for veterans, POW/MIA and numerous local charities. Brett was known for his kindness to others and willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He was a gentleman, a good friend, and compassionate soul. Remembrance and memorial services for Brett "Halo" Hern will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, August 23rd at the Blue Diamond City Park, 28 Cottonwood Drive, Blue Diamond NV 89135. In lieu of flowers we ask family and friends to donate either to the POW/MIA fund or benefit fund for Janda listed below.
