Obituary of Stella Lucille Demato

Stella Lucille Demato, age 83, a 22 year resident of Las Vegas, died Saturday, July 9, 2016. Stella was born January 30, 1933 in Brooklyn, NY; the oldest of eight children to the late Henry and the late Carmella Hill. Stella worked as a bookkeeper, first for the Bank Street College and then for the Internal Revenue Service. She had a passion for BINGO and was said to be able to watch 20 cards at once, while even taking a nap. Stella was predeceased by her husband, Julian Demato in 2002. She is survived by her children Michael Demato of NY, Thomas Demato of Las Vegas, John Demato of NY, Lucille (Ralph) Grilli of NY, Peter (Donna) Demato of NY and Teresa (Robert) Magro of NY; grandchildren Dina, Nicole, Robert, Lauren, Peter Jr. and Amanda; and siblings Marie Saracino of Las Vegas, Agnes (Frederic) Romano of NY and Joseph Hill of CA. Visitation will take place on Sunday, July 10 from 6:30-9:30 PM at Kraft-Sussman Funeral Services, 3975 S. Durango Drive, Suite 104, Las Vegas, NV. A funeral Mass will be held 10:30 am on Monday, July 11, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive, Las Vegas, NV. Contributions in Stella's memory are requested to the American Heart Association.
